The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a particulate bleach activator component comprising the steps of: (i) preparing a mix of solids, and optionally liquids, comprising the bleach activator; (ii) extruding the mix through a die under pressure to form an extrudate, the pressure being less 25 bar; (iii) breaking the extrudate to form the particulate component; wherein the particulate bleach activator component is substantially dust-free and still disperses and releases peracid rapidly upon contact with, or immersion in, wash solution containing peroxy acid bleach at typical domestic washing temperatures. |
