PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer comprising a closing plate capable of facilitating an opening/closing operation thereof at an opening section provided at a printer housing, readily being replaced and hardly being lost. SOLUTION: A closing plate 24 for closing a plurality of openings 25 provided on a side face of a printer housing consists of a plurality of closing caps for closing the plurality of openings 25 and a coupling section which couples the plurality of closing caps with each other and is bent in a direction perpendicular to a coupling direction of the closing caps. A recess is provided on a contact face contacting a side face of the printer housing at the coupling section or on a face opposite the contact face. Pawls for fixing each of the closing caps to the opening 25 are respectively provided at both ends of the each closing cap at the closing face side with respect to the opening 25. The plurality of closing caps, coupling section, a leg for a hinge and pawls for fixing which are forming the closing plate 24 are integrally formed with a soft member. |
