PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain speed-up at the time of door opening by using an electric motor at the time of the opening of a sliding door, and to utilize spring pressure at the time of door closing while simplifying the changeover of opening and closing. SOLUTION: The automatic open-close device for the sliding door has a driving motor connected to a drive sprocket wheel 3 driving a chain 2 and an automatic closing mechanism 6 joined with the drive sprocket wheel 3 through a gear mechanism, and a clutch mechanism is interposed between a driving shaft driven by the driving motor and the drive sprocket wheel 3. The automatic closing mechanism 6 has a closing means by spring pressure and a travelling-speed control means, the sliding door A is moved in the door opening direction by rotating the drive sprocket wheel 3 by the driving motor while the spring of the automatic closing mechanism 6 is pressed in the compressed direction, and the sliding door A is shifted in the door closing direction by the restoring force of the spring pressure of the automatic closing mechanism 6 by releasing a clutch 8 at that time. |
