摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure and an adjusting method thereof for eliminating the gap of a rotational direction, in which the extension/contraction is controlled precisely to a light slide resistance, in the combination structure of the outer shaft with an inner shaft of the shaft such as the main shaft or intermediate shaft of a vehicular steering device. SOLUTION: An outer shaft 41 is spline-fitted to an inner shaft 42 coaxially. A diameter expansion member 61 is inserted in the slit 42d formed to a prescribed length from the tip of the inner shaft 42 and a wedge 62 is inserted in the conic surface of the inner periphery of the diameter expansion member 61 and an adjust screw 63 is screwed to the inner shaft 42 and its tip is contacted to the wedge 62. A screw 64 for fixing is screwed to the outer periphery of the adjust screw 63 and fixed so that the adjust screw 63 is not loosened. The diameter expansion member 61 is pressed to the outer shaft 41 through the wedge 62 by the load of the axial direction of the adjust screw 63 so as to give an adjusted slide resistance.
