摘要 FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this device can be used for testing loose and cohesive grounds so as to determine characteristics of deformability and strength of grounds. In device, pressure chamber is made in the form of circular bellows whereas working chamber is made in the form of cylindrical bellows. In this case flexible shell is made up of two parts: circular part and round part. Deformation sensors are located in center and on adjacent boundary between working chamber and pressure chamber. In addition, upper edge is made in the form of stop with respect to upper part of working chamber and of pressure chamber. Due to aforesaid arrangement, sensors receive three-dimensional mechanical characteristics of ground in conditions when they are most approximated to real stress-deformed state of bases of buildings and structures.
