<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability, to improve discharging stability and to improve a recording quality level by eliminating a defect such as a pinhole, a crack or the like or eliminating a problem in the case of a thin film technology of a protective layer such as improving a step coverage or the like, power conserving an ink jet recording head and accelerating heat responding characteristics. SOLUTION: The base for the recording head comprises electrode wirings 103, 104 electrically connected to a heater 107, and a protective layer 108 provided thereon to protect the heater 107 and the wirings 103, 104. In this case, the layer 108 has a locally thin region T near the heater. This region T is disposed at an inside from a connecting port of the heater to the wirings in a liquid discharging direction and at an outside from an end face of the heater in a direction perpendicular to the discharging direction.</p> |
