摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible t0 manufacture a fiber board which shows high strength, good moisture permeability and the best suitability for a windbreak layer, without generating such a problem that an amino resin is set in a tank or the like in a resin coating step by making the amino resin and an amino resin setting catalyst adhere to fibers composed mainly of palm fibers separately from each other and performing the thermal compression molding of these materials. SOLUTION: When manufacturing a similar fiber board to a wood fiberboard to be used for an outer wall primary material or a furniture material or the like, an amino resin and an amino resin setting catalyst are made to adhere to fibers composed mainly of palm fibers separately from each other and are treated so that these materials are thermally molded by compression. In this case, a fibrous sheet-like object such as a knitted web or an unwoven fabric is arranged on, at least, one of the surfaces and/or the interior of, preferably a fiber mat composed mainly of palm fibers. In addition, the amino resin and the amino resin setting catalyst are made to adhere to the fibrous sheet-like object separately from each other and these materials are thermally molded by compression. Further, the amino resin setting catalyst to be used is ammonium chloride and the palm fibers are fibers obtained by splitting coconut palm trees. The amino resin is such as urea resin, melamine resin or the like.</p>
