PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject fibers giving garment that can protect the wearer from the hazardous actions of ultraviolet rays, as comfortable feeling of wearing is retained, by allowing the ultraviolet absorber to distribute in the inside of and on the surface of the wrinkled fibers. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet absorber is allowed to distribute in the inside of the fibers or applied oat the surface of the fibers and the fibers are treated to form permanent wrinkles of the grade of about <=2.5 according to the appearance scale in the AATCC testing methods 124-1996. These wrinkles can always retain the appearance grade of <=2.5 after washing.
