PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition giving a refreshing touch, a refrigerating touch and a clean touch on employment and persisting refreshing touch, cool touch and clean touch by compounding a specific oil component, a specified perfume component, a surfactant and water. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition comprises (A) 0.0001-30 wt.% of 1-menthol or an oil component containing the 1-menthol as a main component, (B) 0.0001-10 wt.% of one or more perfume components selected from anα-(alkylcyclohexyloxy)-β-alkanol compound of the formula [RI-RV are each H or methyl, wherein one or more of RI-RV are CRIXRXRXI are each 1-4C alkyl); RVI-RVIII are each H or a 1-6C alkyl, wherein all of RVI-RVIII are simultaneously not H],α-methyl-3,4-methylenedihydroxyhydrosinnamic aldehyde, dihydrojasmonic acid methyl ester,α-santalol, cedryl methyl ketone,α-damascone, etc., (C) a surfactant, and (D) water.
