FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: profile member is intended for use in manufacture of windows and doors. Profile member has heat-reflecting layer which is incorporated in hollow section of profile member. Located inside hollow profile member is strip with heat-reflecting coating. Strip is made as removable insert and it can be located between fittings and external wall or internal wall of sectional hollow profile member. Sections of hollow profile member can have at least one slot for strip. Heat-reflecting coating can be applied to both sides of strip. Aforesaid embodiment of profile member allows for increasing its heat-reflecting characteristics. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
