PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure driving power, and improve recovery efficiency of power energy with two motors of relatively small output, and optimize engine and motor control for required driving power from dirigible road wheels. SOLUTION: The sun gear 3a of a planetary gear unit 3 is connected to the output shaft 1a of an engine 1 through a motor 2, a carrier 3b is connected to the input shaft 5a of a belt type continuously variable transmission(CVT) 5 with a motor 4 linked with a ring gear 3c, and the sun gear 3a and the carrier 3b are linked by a clutch 6 os as to be combined freely. By forming a reduction gear train 7 and a differential mechanism 8 continuously at the output shaft 5c of the CVT 5, dirigible road wheels 10 are formed continuously through a driving shaft 9. It is thus possible to ensure driving power and improve recovery efficiency or power energy by the two small-type motors of relatively low output, and attain optimum control of the engine 1 and the motors 2, 4 by controlling the connection of the clutch 6 and the gear ratio of the CVT 5 properly. |
