PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the contact area of a catalyst with air while activating the catalyst by uniform heating and to certainly decompose a malodorous substance or the like by a catalyst heater. SOLUTION: A plurality of sheath heaters 42 and a plurality of mesh sheets 43 are bonded through a heat transfer accelerating plate 44 to be formed integrally. In this state, the sheath heaters 42 are erected on a pedestal part 45 to constitute a catalyst heater 41. Each of the mesh sheets 43 comprises a flat sheet made of copper and formed into a reticulated shape to enable air to flow. A deodorizing catalyst decomposing a malodorous or harmful substance in air to deodorize or detoxify the same is supported on the surfaces of the mesh sheets in a dispersed state. This deodorizing catalyst is at least one metal selected from Ag, Pd, Pt, Mn, Rh, Fe, Co and Ce or oxide thereof. |
