PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified-cross-sectional polyester conjugate fiber giving a spun silk-like high grade woven or knit fabric having good bulkiness and stretchability and further having deep color tone, dry touch, soft touch and fuzzy tough, when woven or knitted. SOLUTION: This modified-cross-sectional polyester conjugate fiber comprises two kinds of polyesters bound in a side-by-side type shape, alternately has 15-35 projections 1 continued in the longitudinal direction of the fiber and narrow grooves 2 in the same number as that of the projections 1 on the surface of the fiber formed by an alkaline weight reduction treatment, and has a crimp percent of 20-80%. |
