PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel flame-retardant thermoplastic molding compsn. contg. aluminum hydroxide. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by treating a mixture comprising 60-90 wt.% thermoplastic polyester and 10-40 wt.% aluminu hydroxide at 230-330 deg.C under a subatmospheric pressure to remove 0.9-1.2 mol of water per mol of aluminum hydroxide used. The use of this compsn. for producing a molded article is also provided, together with a molded article contg. the same. |
