PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove foams with a small ink consumption by pressurizing an ink in each ink liquid chamber at the time of discharging from a head, and selectively giving a driving waveform to an energy generating means for discharging the ink droplet. SOLUTION: A driving waveform is applied to a driver 48 to generate a displacement in response to a record signal. A pressure of a pressurized liquid 61 is raised through a diaphragm part 60 of a diaphragm 57 to discharge the droplet from a nozzle 64. And, when the droplet is completely discharged, the ink pressure in the chamber 61 is reduced, transferred to an ink filling step. A vibration of an ink meniscus face near the nozzle 64 is attenuated. When it becomes stable, it is transferred to next ink droplet discharging operation, and, when foams are mixed within the liquid chamber, it is easily retained at corners of a partition walls of the chamber 61, the generating means is driven to give a pressure change in the chamber 61 to move the foams to be discharged. This driving waveform is of the degree not discharging the ink droplet. |
