PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tourmaline composition unglazed pottery having an adsorbing function provided with a self-reproducing ability and an electrode activity based on crystal structure by including a clay and a specific amount of tourmaline. SOLUTION: This tourmaline composition unglazed pottery contains a clay such as Kibushi clay, potter's clay or kaolin and 5-50 wt.% of tourmaline. The tourmaline composition unglazed pottery having an apparent density of 1.7-1.9 g/cm<3> is obtained by mixing a prescribed amount of tourmaline having an average particle diameter of 0.3-100 μm with a prescribed amount of a clay having an average particle diameter of 1-20 μm, molding the mixture, drying the molded product and subsequently calcining the dried molded product at 700-1,300 deg.C. The tourmaline composition grazed pottery is coated with an alkali glazing agent and/or a borosilicate glazing agent suitable for low temperature sintering and subsequently sintered at 800-1,200 deg.C to produce the tourmaline composition pottery. The tourmaline is a bipolar crystal, preferably schorl tourmaline and lithium tourmaline. The catalyzing ability, electric field, magnetic field and far IR light-radiating ability act to decompose water and give an electron to H<+> to produce [H]. |
