PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an org.-inorg. oriented composite material by which a collagen-calcium phosphate composite excellent in orientation is obtd. SOLUTION: An aq. phosphoric acid soln. contg. collagen and an aq. soln. contg. a calcium salt are simultaneously dropped into a reactor, calcium phosphate and collagen are coprecipitated and the resultant precipitate is compacted to produce the objective org.-inorg. oriented composite material comprising collagen and calcium phosphate.
