MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY SPECIFIC TO FLOATING LARVA OF TAPES PHILIPPINARUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject antibody useful for identifying the floating larvae of Tapes philippinarum by immunizing a mouse with the veliger of Tapes philippinarum, fusing the splenic cell of the mouse to a myeloma cell and subsequently culturing the hybridoma. SOLUTION: This monoclonal antibody is obtained by fusing a mouse myeloma cell to the splenic cell of a mouse immunized with the veliger of Tapes philippinarum, culturing the obtained hybridoma in a culture medium and subsequently collecting the monoclonal antibody specific to the floating larvae of the Tapes philippinarum. The hybridoma producees the antibody having an ability to the floating larvae of the Tapes philippinarum.
