PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a skin preparation for external use, having high safety, manifesting excellent antiinflammatory activities (histamine-isolation inhibitory activities) and skin care activities, and enabling drug preparation. SOLUTION: This skin preparation for external use contains an extract of Limonium wrightii O. Kuntze which is a plant belonging to the family Plumbaginaceae. The formulated amount of the extract of the Limonium wrightii O. Kuntze used in the invention is ∞0.0001 wt.%, preferably 0.001-10 wt.% expressed in terms of a dried material based on the whole amount of the skin preparation for the external use of the invention. When the amount is <0.001 wt.%, a sufficient effect is not expected. When the amount exceeds 10 wt.%, the effect is not enhanced and the excess is useless. Either addition methods of previous addition and the addition during production are available and properly selected by considering the operability. |
