PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actively cool an air-cooled type generator and electrical equipment parts for engine control with new air effectively. SOLUTION: A vertical type engine 3 is accommodated in an engine room 24 covered with an engine cover 22 having a new air intake hole 22a. In this outboard motor 1, electrical equipment parts 90 for engine control are installed in a position between the intake hole 22a and an air-cooled generator 46 and below a belt cover 71, and above the belt cover 71, guide walls 72e and 72f are furnished which guide to the electrical equipment parts 90 the new air taken in from the hole 22a to over the belt cover 71 inside the engine room 24. |
