摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce high purity deionized water stably at low a voltage by arranging porous layers having structure in which cation exchange resin particles are connected and porous layers having structure in which anion exchange resin particles are connected in a division chamber alternately in the raw water flow direction. SOLUTION: One or more layers, preferably at least three layers, of cation exchange resin layers and of anion exchange resin layers are arranged alternately in the raw water flow direction so that the raw water passes alternately through the cation exchange layers and the anion exchange layers. The flow velocity of the raw water is at the lowest 0.5 cm/sec. It is necessary to fix ion exchange resin particles so that the individual particles are not moved substantially when raw water is passed to keep the layer structure. Therefore, the particles are bonded together by an adhesive to make a porous ion exchanger. The tensile strength of the ion exchanger is 1 g/cm<2> .
