PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber having a higher heat melt-out temperature than a polyester fiber, a nylon 66 fiber or the like, and resistant to melting even in the case of coming into contact with tobacco fire or the like. SOLUTION: A cloth containing a melt-proof fiber having a heat melt-out temperature of >=275 deg.C in an amount of >=30 wt.% does not have carbonized or molten parts of >3 mm in diameter and does not easily form a hole even in a melt-proof test. A preferable example of the melt-proof fiber is a fiber comprising a copolymer obtained by subjecting a fiber comprising an ethylene- vinyl alcohol copolymer to a crosslinking treatment with a dialdehyde or the acetal compound of the dialdehyde, and this fiber exhibits a high melt-proof property. |
