PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep good magnetic characteristics without positively applying a nitriding process by controlling variable value of finish rolling starting temp. in the whole length of a coil in hot-rolling of a silicon steel and specifying the max. peak orientation and the random strength ration in texture after decarburize-annealing after cold-rolling. SOLUTION: This steel is composed, by wt.%, of 0.02-0.06% C, 2.0-4.5% Si, 0.03-2.5% Mn, 0.005-0.030% Al and 0.003-0.010% N. This silicon steel slab is heated at <=1260 deg.C, and in the hot-rolling, the variation of the finish rolling starting temp. in the whole length of the coil is controlled to within 100 deg.C. After annealing to the hot rolled sheet or cold-rolling interposing the intermediate annealing, the decarburize-annealing is applied, and the max. peak orientation in the texture in 1/5 layer of the sheet thickness is regulated so as to exist in the range of ϕ1 =90±7.5 deg., Φ is 58-62 deg. or -58--62 deg., ϕ2 =45±7.5 deg. expressed by Bunge's Eulerian angle and >=3.0 the random strength ratio in 1241}<014>. is made to be satisfied. Successively, the finish annealing is applied. |
