PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use one a plurality of plate cylinders as a solid plate cylinder and deal with the plate cylinders of various kinds of diameters by one solid plate cylinder to improve production efficiency. SOLUTION: A rotary printing machine is provided with plate cylinder driving servo motors 101 -106 provided respectively on a plurality of printing units, plate cylinder driving servo controllers 231 -236 controlling the rotation of the motor 101 and others, a plate cylinder diameter input device 27 inputting the diameters of respective plate cylinders, a plate cylinder peripheral speed computation section 26 carrying out the correction computation for uniformizing the peripheral speed of respective plate cylinders based on the plate cylinder diameter input from the plate cylinder diameter input device 27 and set therein and a DSP section 21 driving symmetrically the servo motor 101 and others for driving respective plate cylinders based on the corrected values in the plate cylinder peripheral speed computation section 26. Even when one of the plate cylinders is used as a solid plate cylinder, the solid cylinder can be driven synchronously with other plate cylinders by the arrangement to deal with plate cylinders of various kinds and improve production efficiency. |
