摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of cracks and crack breakage at chamfering parts attributable to the thermal expansion difference between an inner ring and a shaft body, in a rolling bearing at least whose inner ring is made up of ceramics and the inner ring is externally fitted to a steel shaft body, by forming chamfering parts of a specific surface roughness in both the inner circumferential end parts of the inner ring. SOLUTION: In a rolling bearing X whose inner ring 1, outer ring 2, and balls 3 are made of ceramics respectively, and whose cage 4 is made of a metal such as steel material or a resin, chamfering parts 11 are formed in both the inner circumferential end parts of the inner ring 1 which is externally fitted to the shaft body 5 made of steel by means of close fitting. The chamfering part 11 is a curved surface of a round chamfering and the surface is ground to have a center line roughness Ra of 1.6μm or less. By applying surface finishing in this way, the excellent durability against the tensile stress in the circumferential direction acting on the inner race 1 can be produced, so that the occurrence of cracks and crack breakage at the chamfering parts 11 attributable to the thermal expansion difference between the inner ring 1 and the shaft body 5 can be prevented.
