PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct prompt, easy and smooth switching between motor driving and engine driving and freely-selecting various driving modes, in a n automobile drive system including a synchronous engagement type transmission in which clutch operation and speed change operation are automated. SOLUTION: This automobile drive system is provided with an intermediate shaft 48 capable of being driven by the first motor 24, formed between the crank 46 of an engine 12 and the input shaft 58 of a transmission 10, a first clutch 16 capable of being engaged/disengaged between the crank shaft 46 and the intermediate shaft 48, and a second clutch 18 capable of being engaged/ disengaged between the intermediate shaft 48 and an input shaft 58, so as to be capable of driving an output shaft 80 with a second motor 26. |
