PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shift the state of a hydraulic cylinder to three stages consisting of a completely free state, a fixed state, and a state that only stretching is practicable by using a manual valve formed in a compact manner, reduced in a cost, and having excellent operability, in a hydro-tilt device for an outboard motor. SOLUTION: A hydro-tilt device 12 for an outboard motor is constituted such that a manual valve 20 to open and close an oil passage to intercommunicate upper and lower oil chambers is arranged at a hydraulic cylinder 13 having a piston 15 to partition the inner oil chamber of a cylinder 14 into upper and lower oil chambers. Two one-way valves 31 and 32 the directions of which are reverse to each other are arranged in the vicinity in a manner to close an oil passage, the ball valve of each of the one-way valves 31 and 32 energized in a reverse direction by a common spring 33 is steppedly deviated from respective oil passage through a stage where only one ball valve is moved and a stage where the two ball valves are interlocked. This way switches the manual valve 20, consisting of the two one-way valves 31 and 32, to three stages of a closed valve, a one-way valve, and an opening valve. |
