摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure to make precise control of the sliding resistance and its adjusting method in the inner-outer shaft coupling structure of a shaft such as the main shaft or intermediate shaft of a steering device of vehicle. SOLUTION: An outer shaft 41 and an inner shaft 42 are in spline fitting coaxially. A female tapered threaded part 42b is formed in the forefront part 42c of the inner shaft 42, and a male tapered threaded part 60b on an adjusting screw 60 is fitted in the part 42b. Through a hexagonal hole 62 in the screw 60, a fastening tool 70 is rotated and the screw 60 is driven into the inner shaft 42, and thereby the forefront 42c of the inner shaft is expanded in the diametric direction, and a sliding resistance is given with the size adjusted by means of pressing the inner shaft 42 to the bore of the outer shaft 41.
