PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a seismic isolation structure of improved processability for which the slip at the time of kneading is prevented while keeping the low hardness for demonstrating the seismic isolation function. SOLUTION: A seismic isolation structure 1 with a laminate 4 formed of a rubber plate 2 and a metal plate 3 laminated together is manufactured by using a rubber composition formed of a rubber plate 2 on which 0.1 pts.wt. to 50 pts.wt. polynorbornane rubber is blended with 100 pts.wt. base rubber. As polynorbornane rubber is of superior absorbability of a liquid component, a liquid softening agent, a liquid plasticizer and the like in the rubber composition are absorbed. The interface between a rotor or a chamber of a kneader and the rubber composition is protected from the generation of slip caused by the infiltration of a liquid softening agent, a liquid plasticizer and the like into the interface by the arrangement to improve the kneading efficiency and also improve processability. |
