PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for kneading a thermoplastic resin with polytetrafluoroethylene for efficiently developing performance for preventing dripping in combustion. SOLUTION: In this method for producing a flame-retardant resin composition obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin with 0.02-1 pt.wt. polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) and 1-30 pts.wt. flame retardant by an extruder type melt kneading method, shear rate (S), at which the resin composition receives, represented by the formula; S=πDN/60h [S is a shear rate (s<-1> ); D is a screw outside diameter (mm) ; N is screw speed of revolution (rpm); (h) is screw groove depth (mm)] is set to 10-70. |
