PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic-filled thermoplastic resin which can give a molding excellent in impact resistance, rigidity, appearance, and weld strength and to provide a molding made therefrom. SOLUTION: There are provided a thermoplastic resin mainly consisting of (A) 10-60 pts.wt. (rubber-modified) thermoplastic resin obtained by polymerizing (b) at least one vinyl monomer selected from the group consisting of aromatic vinyl compounds, vinyl cyanide compounds, (meth)acrylic esters, acid- anhydride-free unsaturated compounds, and maleimide compounds in the presence or absence of (a) a rubbery polymer, (B) 70-10 pts.wt. polycarbonate; (C) 1-20 pts.wt. inorganic filler having a mean particle diameter of 1-15μm and a pH in the range of 8-10, the total of components A, B, and C being 100 pts.wt., or a composition prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. above thermoplastic resin with (D) 1-10 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin obtained by grafting a vinyl monomer in the presence of a polycarbonate; and a molding prepared by molding either of the above compositions. |
