PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make longitudinal vibration of a rotary shaft low vibration by providing an oil passage on the inner periphery of a seal ring and reducing the passage area from one side surface of the seal ring toward the other side surface. SOLUTION: An oil groove 20 of a seal ring 1 has a function supplying lubricating oil to a relative sliding surface. Because the oil groove 20 provided on the seal ring 1 is formed in a conical shape of an inclined angleθand a cutting depthα, the angleθand the cutting depthαcan be adjusted to optimum values so that a vibration suppressing action due to passage resistance when lubricating oil passes the oil groove 20 may be close to a longitudinal vibration curve C and a required lubricating oil passage surface may be made. Thus, a target vibration form C can be obtained by leaving the number of the oil grooves 20 the necessary minimum number as it is and without raising lubricating oil supply pressure.
