CONCRETE BLOCK FOR PLANTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a planting block which gives a high germination rate and good growth of plants by constituting the block of a cement and an aggregate and using a hydraulic compsn. as the cement prepared from one or more kinds of incineration ash of municipal waste and incineration ash of sewage sludge or the like. SOLUTION: This concrete block consists of a cement added with a cementation retarder such as citric acid by 0 to 2.0 wt.% and a coarse aggregate. The cement is a hydraulic compsn. prepared by compounding 1 to 30 pts.wt. of gypsum such as anhydrous gypsum and gypsum dihydride in 100 pts.wt. of a calcined material containing 10 to 40 pts.wt. of 11CaO 7Al2 O3 .CaCl2 and one or more kinds of 2CaO.SiO2 , 3CaO.SiO2 and the like. The calcined material is prepared by mixing one or more kinds of incineration ash of municipal waste, incineration ash of sewage sludge and other general wastes or industrial wastes, and further lime stone, clay, silica or the like, controlling the components to prepare the source material, then calcining the source material at 1200 to 1500 deg.C to obtain a clinker, and pulverizing the clinker.
