PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a biaxially stretched polyester film suitably employed as a base material of a transparent deposition film having a deposited oxide such as silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide with a superior gas barrier property suitably used for package, in particular, a package film. SOLUTION: The biaxially stretched polyester film for transparent deposition has a variation rate (σ%) of the film in the longitudinal direction and lateral direction at imposing load of 5.0 N/m on the film and being raised at a temperature of 10-20 deg.C/min, wherein a variation rate (σ1 ) lies in the range of -1.7-0.7% at a temperature range of 60-140 deg.C, and a variation (σ2 ) lies in the range of -2.6-1.0% at a temperature range of 140-180 deg.C. |
