PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject film excellent in surface smoothness, providing a sufficient image density and useful for a substrate of an image receiving sheet excellent in folding endurance and crease resistance by including many cavities derived from a thermoplastic resin incompatible with a polyester in the interior of the film. SOLUTION: This film contains many cavities derived from a cavity-forming agent comprising a thermoplastic resin incompatible with a polyester in the interior of the film and has <=1.3 apparent specific gravity and further <=3 cohesive failure index on either one surface. The glossiness of the surface is >=20%. The polyester in the film is preferably a polyester containing >=70 mol.%, preferably >=80 mol.% ethylene terephthalate unit, butylene terephthalate unit or ethylene 2,6-naphthalate unit. The amount of the mixed cavity-forming agent to the polyester is preferably 3-20 wt.% based on the whole film. |
