PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product inspection system having an inspection capability for inspecting a spray color meeting to the product number of a product, and a product inspecting method. SOLUTION: This product inspection system comprises a product database in which features of products are stored, a management computer 1 which retrieves the product number of an object product to be inspected from this product database on the basis of a type of the objective product and sends out the product number thus retrieved, and an inspection computer 2 which retrieves a spray color for the objective product from the product database of the objective product to be inspected on the basis of the product number of the objective product sent from the management computer 1, which displays the spray color thus retrieved on a screen. An inspection operator compares the actual color of the objective product with the spray color displayed on the screen of the inspection computer 2, and if they are agreed with each other the inspection determines that the objective product is acceptable. |
