The invention relates to a device for holding elongated objects, in particular pencils 15, ball point pens 15, fountain pens 15 and the like, preferably on an item of clothing, at least two spring legs 2, 3, 7, 8, which are inclined towards one another in a V shape, being mounted on a supporting plate 1 in a manner which allows them to pivot about a respective axis 4 which is perpendicular with respect to a plate plane, each spring leg itself protruding from a web 5, 6 which is, in turn, inherently moveable over an axis 9 running parallel to the plate 1, and is provided with a further resilient leg 7, 8 running parallel to the first-mentioned, resilient leg 2, 3, the particular arrangement and the use of a plurality of spring legs 2, 3, 7, 8 overall enabling, on the one hand, the pencil 15 to be held in a strong and constant manner in the mount and, on the other hand, enabling the pencil 15 to latch gently into the mount and equally also enabling it to be removed gently from the mount, it being possible to remove the pencil 15, in order to use it, either forwards from the mount or to pull it downwards or upwards out of the mount, depending on requirements, and also, moreover, the spring legs 2, 3, 7, 8, which are inclined towards one another in pairs in a V shape, together with the flattened, front angles 16 of the spring legs 2, 3, 7, 8, constituting two effective centring aids which make it possible for the pencil 15 to be latched into the holder of the mount without having to look at the latter, the device being fixed on the item of clothing by the supporting plate 1 being provided with two openings 10, 11 for receiving perforating pins 12, 13 which are fixed on a further plate 14. <IMAGE> |
