The invention comprises a method of construction according to which it is possible to build a power plant utilising a combustion technology such that it does not emit any liquids to the environment, and in practice as advantageous as known back-pressure and condensing power plants. The invention is based on the fact that the flue gases are cooled after the boiler 1 and compressed 5 to such a high pressure that the carbon dioxide condenses and is removed. The gases are heated again by means of their own removed heat 2, following which their energy is transformed into electricity by means of turbines. District heating is produced by means of the output heat of the compressors, the amount of which is controlled via the circulation ratio 4 and temperature via the number of compressors 5. In the power plant may also be installed a steam power plant, and the output heat from the gas turbines is being utilised as in a combined power plant. The calculated, theoretical energy production with four compressor stages and re-circulation is 43 per cent electricity and 38 per cent district heating of the energy of the fuel. <IMAGE>
