Earth wall supporting system for excavation, e.g. foundation pit

The supporting system consists of a series of hollow metal panels (2) stacked on top of another along the walls of the excavation. The adjoining ends of the panels are connected by sliding teeth (3) which are retracted inside the panels when not in use and locked in the extended position by U-shaped pegs (8). Each panel can be connected to the one above or below it by a clip engaging with the edges of front flanges.
