A harvesting machine includes a feed mechanism configured for being driven in a forward direction to feed crops into the harvesting machine and a reverse driv e mechanism for driving the feed mechanism in a reverse direction. The reverse drive mechanism i ncludes a cam surface, a plurality of cam engagement members, and a plurality of pistons conne cted to the engagement members. One of the cam surface in the plurality of cam engagement me mbers is operatively coupled to the feed mechanism. Controlled movement of the pistons in a first direction forces the cam engagement members into engagement with the cam surface to drive the feed mechanism in the reverse direction. Movement of each of the pistons in a se cond direction allows the feed mechanism to rotate in the forward direction.
