The invention relates to a CT method with helicoidal scanning of an examination area by means of a conical beam of rays. Complete non-redundant measuring data is obtained for three-dimensional t omographic imaging of long objects. One-dimensional filtering is simply required for reconstruction. Rebinning, whereby parallel ray fans located in a parallel position with respect to the axis of rotation are combined, means that the steps of the inventive method are easy to carry out.
