TELEPHONE CONNECTING STRIP

The telephone connecting strip is intended to be mounted on a U-shaped metal support (1) with side channels and tranverse walls (4) forming independent compartments, each receiving the strip formed by a lower base (5) for connecting the pairs (9) of the switching equipment; there is mounted on the base (5) a mechanical module (6) which is internally provided with appropriate protection means and with an elastic and metal part for automatic earth connection. Bipolar plugs (7) inserted into said base (6) connect the line pairs (8) or an electronic module (11) with the bipolar plugs (7) thereon, said electronic module (11) having a lateral connector (43) traversed by a bus (40) intended to perform tests and measures automatically through the use of an equipment of controls and with the collaboration of a computer. The strip is modular and applies specially to distributors of telephone exchanges in order to perform manually and/or automatically the service interruption and restitution functions as well as the line measurements, and the like.
