An elongate beam has a mounting end and a projecting end, with a pulley mounted to the projecting end. A length-adjustable belt is mounted to the mounti ng end of the beam for securing the mounting end of the beam to an upright, such as a tree. A V-shaped brace assembly has a narrow supporting end pivotingly attached to the beam intermediate the beam ends, and a broad base end. The brace assembly includes a pair of legs which form the V-shape. The legs have spacedapart base ends for positioning adjacent to an upright. A brace plate extends between the base ends of the legs and forms a recess facing away from the supporting end of the brace assembly for receiving uprights of different sizes. A flexible spacing element, such as a chain, extends between the mounting end of t he beam and the base end of the brace assembly for limiting the separation between the mounting end of the beam and the base end of the brace assembly.
