The sound absorber(10) for the wheel, at least in part, is located outside the toroidal cavity(16) of the tyre(6) and is in direct functional communication with it. The wheel(26) has at least one hollow spoke(8) which is open to the toroidal cavity of the tyre, and in which is formed at least one sound absorber, or is constructed as a sound absorber. The walls of the cavity which determine the effective volume of the sound absorber are formed, at least in part, by a section of the wheel or a section of the wheel spokes.
