The cabriolet has two side roof frames(16) hinged on the body and each divided into a number of sections. A front roof frame section(21) covers the greatest distance during opening and closing of the top and has an upwards pointing outer side. A second section(19) is connected to the first, and the two sections are interconnected so that with opening of the top(11) the front frame section moves over the second section, and the outer side of the front section remains open. Arches(46,47) extend between the side roof frames, and a roof section(42) is connected to the latter. One portion of the roof section extending between the two front roof frame sections is dimensionally stable in such a way that with the top open it forms a cover for the folding top stowage compartment(14).
