Disclosed is a flat torch comprising a rigid chassis (16) in the form of a flat frame, one or more outer panels (24) of sheet material secured to opposite sides of the frame, at least one light emitter (12) recessed into the body of the chassis (16) for directing light outwardly thereof, and a flat battery (22) and flat on/off switch (14) accommodated within the free space inside the chassis (16) between the panels (24). |
