The instrument compares image- and/or sound signals with signals provided in a template file, and triggers logical switching functions at an agreement. The instrument uses preferably a computer to reduce a data quantity of the image- and/or sound signals before and/or after their digitalization, as far as possible for a clear recognition of image- and/or sound content.
