The present summary refers to a request of patent for a device of tilting of the external rear-view mirror, that appertains to the field of the parts for automobiles and that was developed to proportionate a more simple construction than the conventional ones, being the mentioned mirror comprised, essentially: by the mirror, strictly speaking (1); by a mechanism of regulation of the position of the mirror (1); by the casing (2); by the base (3), that has the casing (2) placed and that might be placed in the lateral of the automotive vehicle; and by mechanism (4) of tilting of the casing (2), being this one comprised, essentially: by forms (6) of articulation of the casing (2); by a device ( 10) of stabilization of the casing (2) in the positions of use or tilted formed, in essence: by resilient flange (30) preferably, projected from the face of the base (3) directed to the extremity of the placement of the casing; and by an element of structure (20), previewed in the extremity of the casing (2) directed to the base (3); the mentioned flange (30) and element (20) have surfaces locked by interference (31) and (21); bumper-surfaces (32), (22); and completing the mechanism (4) of tilting, the positioning elements (40) and (41) might be previewed and selected to ensure the pressure of locking between the flange (30) and the element (20).
