摘要	An electric motor drives a threaded spindle (2) to press the brake lining plate (39) against the brake disc. The drive force is transferred through a linkage system (45, 48, 50, 55) which is independent of the spindle. Alternatively the recirculating ball nut and the spindle forming the drive system can be matched in respect of their stiffness so that the load is spread evenly over several threads.
