<p>A monorail vehicle shuttle system (10) comprising a pair of passenger loading and unloading stations (A and B), and a single, elevated tract structure (12) extending therebetween. A dual track bypass section (16) is provided at the center point of the system. Vehicles (V1 and V2) are controlled to arrive at stations (A and B) at the same time, as well as to pass at bypass section (16). Each vehicle includes an outrigger assembly (60, 60') that engages one of a pair of outer guide beams or rails (50, 52), which ensures proper alignment and guidance of the vehicles on the track.</p> |
